Leading Birmingham accountants JW Hinks are sharing in celebrations with their chosen charity after a romantic ball they supported raised thousands of pounds.
Held at the Moor Hall Hotel in Sutton Coldfield, the Valentine Day Ball raised more than £2,000 for the firm’s annual cause, Our Place Community Hub, which supports children, young people and adults from the local community through the provision of a number of services.
The glamorous event was well attended and saw guests enjoy a luxurious three course meal followed by an evening of entertainment, which included singing from local artist Milly Sophie Rose and a short film highlighting the work provided by Our Place’s Mentoring Scheme.
The event organised by one of the charities dedicated volunteers, Sue Ayres, was a great success and received support from a number of other local businesses who provided prizes for a charity raffle.
Paul Jones, Managing Partner at JW Hinks, said: “We are proud to sponsor and be part of such a wonderful event. We are all delighted to hear that Our Place have managed to raise such a significant sum that will go a long way to helping their fantastic mentoring scheme.
“We will be supporting them by holding a number of events throughout the year and I look forward to seeing how much more money we can raise in the coming months.”
