Birmingham-based chartered accountants JW Hinks are celebrating the Silver Anniversary of bookkeeper Carol Deen.
Carol joined the Edgbaston firm in 1988 when it was John W Hinks & Co as a part-time Admin Assistant.
After three years Carol was promoted to a full-time Cashier / Bookkeeper – a role she still has, albeit in an enlarged firm.
Since joining JW Hinks, Carol has seen many changes, including the introduction of new computer systems, new premises and location. JW Hinks moved to their Highfield Road premises in 2002 from Smethwick.
“The 25 years have gone really quick, and I can honestly say that they have been mostly happy working years,” she said.
“I have seen so many changes, of the six Partners that were here when I started, there is only one remaining, while I have worked with many new staff members.
“I look forward to many more years working at the firm, and would like to thank the Partners for their kind gift of holiday vouchers.”
Paul Jones, managing partner at the firm, said: “I joined JW Hinks in 1980 and remember Carol’s first day.
“25 years has certainly flown by, but Carol has been a constant, remaining at the firm through many mergers and relocation to Edgbaston.
“Throughout her time here she has been a pleasure to work with and has always remained truly professional, helping the firm to grow into one of the largest independent chartered accountancy firms in the West Midlands.
“I’d like to congratulate Carol for her 25 year’s service from everybody at the firm, and wish her many more successful years here.”
