A team of runners from Birmingham accountancy firm, JW Hinks LLP, have set some of the fastest times at this year’s Great Birmingham 10k.
Nine participants from the firm took part in the ENGIE Business Challenge, which is part of the Simplyhealth Great Birmingham 10k.
They ran to raise awareness and funds for the Friends of Alfie Johnson, which is solely committed to helping children with disabilities in the Dudley, Sandwell and Wolverhampton Boroughs of the Black Country.
Split into a mixed and a male team, the runners set blisteringly fast times, with the male team taking pole position with a combined run time of 03:29:40 and the mixed runners coming in a close second in their category with a time of 04:02:24.
Neal Aston, Managing Partner at JW Hinks, said: “We are really proud of the team for not only raising some fantastic funds but also taking top spots during the ENGIE Business Challenge.
“They really put their heart and soul into this race, showing an immense amount of commitment, which has helped us to raise additional money for the Friends of Alfie Johnson. I would like to thank and congratulate all of those who took part for their dedication.”
JW Hinks is hosting and taking part in a number of events this year to help raise money for the Friends of Alfie Johnson and is on target to raise hundreds for the local cause.
