At JW Hinks, we offer bespoke audit programmes, designed to ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective service.
Our audit approach is tailored to meet the needs of each charity, based on our in-depth knowledge of the organisation. By continuously keeping in touch with our clients, we are aware of any major developments within the organisation, as well as within the sector as a whole, and can factor them into the audit.
During this process, we assess the internal controls of the charity, checking for any points of weakness and discussing any areas of concern with the relevant staff and trustees, as well as making recommendations on the actions that need to be taken.
While some charities will not require, nor wish to, have a full audit, they would still benefit from a review of their internal controls in order to indentify any potential risks.
Once we have agreed with the trustees the areas that will be reviewed, we will check for any weaknesses, along with any threats that are not being sufficiently controlled.
Our full report will outline the possible risks discovered and advise on how to mitigate them.
At JW Hinks, we offer a full review of each charity’s governance procedures to ensure they are suitable for the organisation’s needs.
This includes the processes for recruiting trustees and resolving any disagreements between them and the chief executive, as well as assessing the effectiveness of the board structure and the methods for managing any conflicts of interest.
