graduated from Lancaster University in 1975 before training and qualifying with
Deloitte Haskins and Sells. He joined J W Hinks in 1980 and was admitted into
partnership 2 years later. Paul acts for a wide variety of clients but has particular
expertise in corporate finance work and advising members of the dentistry profession. |
Outside Interests: | Paul
lives in Harborne and is a past president of the Rotary Club of Smethwick. He
has had a life-long interest in model railways and is a director of Warley MRC
Exhibitions Ltd. |

Brian Hadfield |

Experience: |
Brian qualified in 1973 with the Birmingham office of an international practice before being made a partner in their Shrewsbury office. He joined J W Hinks in 1982 and has built up a varied portfolio of clients including a large number of owner-managed businesses. In the office he is responsible for the computer network and if the system goes down it is “his fault”. |

Interests: | Brian is married to Janet with two sons and lives in Solihull. He is a keen rugby watcher and occasionally “hacks” around the golf course. |

Jenny Bomber |

Experience: | Jenny trained and qualified with a small Birmingham practice where she became a partner in 1979. She joined J W Hinks in 1990. Many of Jenny's clients are family businesses and she also has strong interests in the healthcare and charity sector. |
Outside Interests: | Jenny lives with her family in Edgbaston and has various sporting and local community interests. |

Experience: | David graduated from Hull University in 1977 before training and qualifying as a chartered accountant with Binder Hamlyn in Birmingham. He joined J W Hinks in 1988 as an audit manager and became a partner in 1991. David acts for a wide variety of clients but has a particular interest in dealing with compliance and audit issues for Companies, Charities and Pension Funds. He is the firm’s Audit Compliance and Practice Assurance partner. |
Outside Interests:
| David lives in Sutton Coldfield where he and his family share a keen interest in the fortunes of Aston Villa Football Club. His other sporting activities include tennis, surfing and body boarding. |

Robin Barnes |

Experience: | Robin joined the practice as a trainee in 1985 and became a partner in 1993. He advises a wide range of owner managed businesses on their financial and taxation position. He is also a regular lecturer on dentistry matters to both newly qualified and established dentists, as well as providing support to other accountants. |
Outside Interests: | Robin lives in Harborne and has interests including most sports and gardening. |

Neal Aston |

Experience: |
Neal joined the practice after ‘A’ levels in 1984 as a junior member of the audit and accounts staff. He qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1996 and progressed through the firm to Audit Manager and Associate. Neal became a partner in March 2007. He deals predominantly with the audit of corporate and pension scheme clients and solicitors accounts. |
Outside Interests: |
Neal is married to Carole, and they have two children and live in Streetly. As his surname suggests he and his family are lifelong supporters of Aston Villa! Neal also enjoys playing squash and golf (although not as well or as often as he would like!) |
