Experience:
Alan joined JW Hinks in 1990 as office manager after 17 years with a smaller practice in Birmingham. Alan is now the firm’s Business Services Manager and uses his years of experience to provide general accounting support to family and owner managed businesses. Alan specialises in installation and training on accounting systems in addition to the preparation of budgets and cashflow forecasts for existing and potential clients.
Outside interests:
Alan lives in Redditch with his wife Amanda (who also works at J W Hinks) and enjoys most sports, in particular Rugby Union however in recent years more as a spectator rather than a participator. Alan still runs on a regular basis and enjoys mountain biking.

Experience:
Since joining J W Hinks in 1999, Dan has trained and qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor progressing to Tax Manager. He is responsible for a varied portfolio of Corporate, Personal, Charity and Trust clients and advises clients throughout the practice on a variety of tax issues and tax planning opportunities.
Outside Interests:
Dan lives with his wife Claire in Kingswinford. He enjoys watching football at his newly adopted local team - Stourbridge Town , playing squash, a rare game of golf and cites Wine and Fine Dining amongst his other interests.

Experience:
Richie qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1999 and joined J W Hinks in 2009, following 20 years experience with a small practice in Sutton Coldfield. Richie is our Healthcare Manager, dealing mainly with associate and principal dentists.
Outside Interests:
Richie lives in Great Barr with his family and has a keen interest in music and sport. In particular, he is a lifelong Aston Villa supporter.

Experience:
Claire joined JW Hinks in 2007 having worked for a number of years in the Private Banking sector. She combines her duties as Tax Administrator, responsible for a portfolio of Personal and Trust clients alongside her responsibility for Managing our Payroll Department.
Outside Interests:
Claire lives with her family in Solihull. She is Treasurer for the Birmingham Twins Group. Her interests when time allows, are the theatre, music and various sports.

Experience:
Having trained and qualified in his home town of Tamworth, Peter joined the firm in 2005 becoming an audit manager in 2007. He has a wide range of experience across many sectors particularly the audit of companies, charities and pension schemes. He is also responsible for our solicitor clients where he ensures compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
Outside Interests:
Peter is recently married and lives in Tamworth where he is Trustee of a local Alms Houses Charity and also treasurer of the Tamworth Anker Rotary Club. He enjoys mountain biking and watching football in his spare time.

Experience:
Martin started his career with Bentley Jennison as a junior, qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1997. He joined J W Hinks in 2006 as an audit manager and was appointed as PA to the firm’s Managing Partner in 2009. Martin specialises in the audit of private limited companies, clubs and charities and is also heavily involved in service charge accounts.
Outside Interests:
Martin lives in Shard End with his wife and family and regularly plays badminton and is a keen fruit and vegetable gardener. Martin is also a follower of Birmingham City Football Club.
